At Mahrishi College of Law, we have air-conditioned and fully furnished classrooms with all the important instructional supports. It is well equipped with LCD projector for proper interaction and communication with students and to facilitate project presentations and group discussions.
Assigned for an academic course, we have regular classrooms for the general purposes which are well equipped with state-of-the-art IT and multimedia equipment while fulfilling the general purpose of a classroom, such as a whiteboard/blackboard. Our faculties are supported by technology to provide instructions.
Our video conferencing rooms are available to schedule any course which needs video conferencing by any academic stream on a daily basis. Certain restrictions are applicable due to the special nature of such rooms. Instructor training can be arranged as per the requirements.
This classroom covers a huge range of activities to promote group discussions for students and teachers.
They are generally taken as a controlled environment in which teacher takes firm control of the situation all the time, either allowing students to make questions and discuss the solutions or guiding the students with some sort of structured discussions by asking frequently asked questions. One can use those discussions in different contexts, including follow-up to lecture or viewing of a video or film, as a debriefing session for simulation or case study, as a class revision, or as a teaching approach.
They are also taken in different forms. They are based on less-restricted lines as compared to classroom discussions. The group members have more control over the content of discussion or course. The seminar can be based on a paper, essay or talk presented by any students. It involves discussing in depth.
Our faculties also run a group discussion on a specific topic. It is another approach to conduct a seminar. Along with giving guidelines on proceeding discussions, we also leave our students to decide the solution on their own.
The fishbowl technique is another common approach for running a seminar. Half of the class members start the discussion in the inner circle and the rest sit in the external circle as the audience. Later on, both sections are grouped together for common discussions. Brainstorming is another approach to a seminar. In this approach, group members note down or suggest possible solutions spontaneously to a question or problem asked by a teacher.
They are also taken in different forms. The working tutorial is one of the common forms. Here, the class performs the tasks related to the course set by the faculties. If students face problems, they can seek guidance or help. Problem-solving sessions enable our students to ask their teachers related to any matters in the course.
